Head-Check
Checks the heads sensors, fans, power-supplies, nvram, health-state and version.
Usage
$ check_netapp_pro.pl Head -H <host> [-s <vserver>] -o cool|power|nvram|health|temp|version [...] [--help]
Description
This plugin checks environmental information and hardware components like cooling-devices, power-supplies and nvram of the filers head.
For a cluster-mode filer the information of all nodes is evaluated and listed.
Since the internal logic of NetApp already defines low and high critical values for temperatures or fan speeds, thresholds are neither set nor used by the plugin.
Setting --object|-o
to health returns and evaluates the nodes global health
state.
Setting --object|-o
to version returns and evaluates the nodes DataONTAP version.
Together with --critical
and --warning
you can get alarms, if a nodes OS-version falls
below these values.
This plugins also shows some purely informational content like the nodes serial number, the hardware-model or its DataONTAP release number.
Simple Examples
Check the health state of all nodes.
Check the nvram-status.
Check the temperature-sensors on the filer.
Check all power-supplies of the filer.
Check all cooling-devices of the filer.
Advanced Examples
Hint: The input for advanced examples is shortend. Replace the '...' below with ‑H <your filers ip or host-name>
Check the nvram on node cluster1-01 only.
Warns if the version of DataONTAP running on filer is below 9.2. Sends a critical alarm, if some 8.x version would have been found.
